This past Thursday, Friday & Saturday sixteen members of the Turner Ashby TSA competed at their annual State Conference known as Technosphere in Hampton, VA. Chapter members competed in ten STEM related events, and earned five top ten finishes against strong competition from around the state. Special congratulations to the Video Game Design team of Muhammad Mirawdaly, Jordan Rinerhart, Fielding Schrag, Donovan Behrens, Gannon Long and Ben Kiser who earned second place in that event. As well as the Technology Bowl team of Jordan Rinehart, Fielding Schrag, Donovan Behrens who also earned a second place finish. Both teams have qualified to compete at the TSA National Conference in National Harbor, MD this summer. Congrats to all these hard working Knight's.

Congratulations to the following teachers for winning today's Educators Rising teacher appreciation week raffle.  Please check your mailbox for your prize: Ms. Scott, Ms. Gerber, Ms. Farrish, Ms. Michael-Lee, Ms. Cullers. We look forward to recognizing more teachers tomorrow!

If any student has a form for the vaccine clinic tomorrow, please bring them to Nurse Brandi ASAP.

Are you looking for a fun way to recognize a teacher during Teacher Appreciation Week? Students will be set up during both lunch shifts Monday through Thursday selling tattoos for teachers. Prices range from $1 to $5. Help support our Ed Rising Club and show your appreciation to your favorite teachers! See Mrs. K in room 105 with any questions.

There will be a mandatory meeting for all students who requested a Dual Enrollment class next year. A representative from Blue Ridge Community College will be present during the first part of Advisory on Wednesday, May 6. You will hear information about the application process, starting your college transcript, and grade requirements. There will be a time for questions. Please plan to attend.

Attention Juniors:  If you are interested in learning more about graduating this summer, please stop by guidance and speak with your counselor.

Attention current freshman, sophomores, and juniors:  If you are failing a core class this year and need to take it again in summer school, please stop by guidance to pick up a form.  Additionally, if you are an underclassman who would like to take Economics over the summer (online), stop by and pick up the registration information. Economics is the only new class students can take. Summer school will begin June 8 and you will be completing the class online at home.  See Mrs. Shifflett or a guidance counselor with questions or more information.
